If you’d like to get involved there are many ways. Work with community leaders to provide and/or increase space for garden plots; organize a Square Foot Gardening Symposium; approach school administrators about bringing the program to local educational institutions; organize a Square Foot Gardening demonstration in your community (libraries and Houses of Worship are a good start); or spread the Foundation’s message of self-sufficiency and healthy living. Or start small: Plant your own garden and invite your neighbors, friends and community activists to see the results. Do you have ideas of your own you would like to share with us? If so, we’d like to hear from you.
The Square Foot Gardening Foundation is always looking for dedicated individuals who embrace the concept of bettering the lives of people in their communities, improving their own well being, and wanting to do their part to create a more sustainable planet. The Foundation’s mission to help end world hunger is no small order– We depend on volunteers like you!
